The Power of Perspective

Updated: Jun 4, 2023

What a Higher Perspective Means
In spirituality, having a higher perspective means having a more expanded understanding of ourselves, others and reality.
A higher perspective means we can move past our own ego, see past illusions, surpass our immediate feelings, connect with universal wisdom, align with higher values, and understand dualist (either/or, good/bad) thinking as false.

Having a higher perspective in spirituality is a journey that involves letting go of limitations, expanding our awareness, and aligning with deeper truths.

What's Good About a Higher Perspective

Gaining a higher perspective allows us to navigate through life with greater wisdom, empathy, and resilience. It helps us see the bigger picture and have a better understanding of why we experience different events in our lives. When we see things from a "bird's eye view" we also begin to see and understand other people's experiences as well.

The benefits of operating from a higher perspective are greater empathy and compassion, reduced stress, improved problem-solving, increased gratitude and contentment, a more open-minded approach, and better decision making overall.

What the Artifacts Say about Higher Perspective Taking

Artifacts from ancient civilizations provide us with insights into beliefs and practices related to higher perspectives. Here are a few examples:

Greek Philosophical Texts:
Ancient Greek texts like Plato's "The Allegory of the Cave" and other works, provide intellectual insights into the pursuit of higher perspectives. These texts explore concepts, rational inquiry, and the search for truth and wisdom. They offer guidance on rising above limitations of the ordinary perception to attain a higher understanding of reality.
