Part of the spiritual journey is to raise your vibration and to have more positive energy. In order to do this, you will need to cleanse your body of toxins and negative energy. One of the most effective and easiest ways to do this, is to take regular baths with salt. Salt baths help you relax, stimulate blood circulation and help skin and pores.



8. Diet/Exercise

One of the first activities you will need to decide on is how you will improve your overall physical health. This may include eating more fruits and vegetables while cutting out artificial and processed foods. Along with diet, exercise will help with blood flow and brain function. Maintaining a physical fitness routine daily will help you feel better both mentally and physically. This may include a daily walk, aerobics/yoga at home, or trips to the gym. You can begin with succulents and move to Lilies. If you're comfortable, try your hand at growing your own herbs and vegetables. Over time, the air in your home will be cleaner and your spirit will be uplifted.

Using music is one of the most effective ways to create a positive space for yourself. There are several different types of meditation music from instrumentals, HZ frequencies and ambient music. Find what works for you and use the music whenever you go into a meditative state.

It doesn't matter if you have an entire backyard, a small porch or no outdoor space of your own, what does matter is that you get outside, and you find your own "spot" to connect with the world around you. This might be sitting on a bench in the park, a walkway around a lake or even a place that you can walk to and sit down in the grass. Be creative and go to the place that makes you feel comfortable and connected.

When you begin to work with your spirituality, it is vital that you learn. This means reading or listening to audiobooks. You want to establish your own beliefs and ideas about what spirituality is to you, as no two people's views or practices are exactly the same. Research from reliable sources is important. Social media may be a springboard for topics to look up further, but remember, opinions are not facts. Reading books and learning about the scientific research on your own will open up a whole new perspective.


2. Journal

When you start your spiritual life, you will want to write about your experiences and feelings. This is one of the most important aspects because it allows you to be introspective about your past and who you want to be. Writing will help you accept all parts of yourself and understand the bigger picture of your life purpose.

It's true that spirituality is a way of life. It's not one habit or one way of thinking. It is all encompassing. This may seem daunting and unrealistic when you first begin your spiritual life, but the truth is devoting as little as 15 minutes a day to learning, growing and understanding is all you need to begin your new spiritual life. The key is to get started and stick to it over time.
